The aim of the Euromembrane Conference series is to provide a common platform for scientific exchanges on new ideas and latest research works in the field of Membrane Science and Technology and in other areas where membrane technology is applied. After Bath (1995), Twente (1997), Leuwen (1999), Jerusalem (2000), Hamburg (2004) and Taormina (2006), Montpellier will have the great honour to host the next session of Euromembrane.
Euromembrane 2009 is organized by the “European Membrane Institute” IEM, in cooperation with the National Graduate School of Chemistry (ENSCM) and the University of Montpellier 2 (UM2).
The programme will start with an opening lecture by a leading expert. Four parallel sessions are planned. For plenary lectures 50 minutes are scheduled, while oral presentations will have a total of 20 minutes including time for discussion. During the parallel sessions also 30 minutes keynote lectures will be considered. Both plenary and keynote speakers will be contacted by the Organizing Committee. Prizes for best oral and poster presentations given by students and young researchers will be awarded.
In addition to the technical sessions, the programme of social events will offer wide opportunities for interactions and exchanges between participants. A programme of excursions and sight-seeing for accompanying persons will be arranged upon request.
Lunches on September 7-9 and refreshments during coffee breaks and poster sessions will be provided.
The conference will not be residential. Montpellier itself has some 2,900 hotel rooms, with 1,000 rooms within five or ten minutes of “Le Corum, Palais des Congrès”.
